Our speaker is  new State Senator Josh Becker, elected in November 2020 to replace Jerry Hill, who had termed out of office.  Senator Becker represents  District 13, which includes most of San Mateo County and parts of northern Santa Clara County.

A twenty year resident of Menlo Park, with a MBA/Law degree from Stanford, Josh has been an effective public policy innovator working at the "nexus of community activism, technology, and social justice." 

Among his many accomplishments has been the creation of the Full Circle Fund, which provides millions of dollars in grants to Bay Area nonprofits, primarily targeting those pushing for policy innovations in healthcare, education and the environment.

Since taking office on December 7, Senator Becker has introduced an astonishing number of legislative bills affecting civil, voter and environmental justice. He will answer our questions and tell us what we can do to help.
