SMCDFA February Meeting

TED Talks!

TED is a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. TED conferences bring together the world's most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives in less than 18 minutes.

We will watch and then discuss two TED talks:

  1. "Profit's Not Always the Point", about including value, purpose and sustainability in corporate decision-making, and
  2. "Invest in Social Change", about creating a bond that helps fund social initiatives (such as supporting and training inmates leaving prison) with private money.

We'll also talk about the new SMCDFA task forces, so bring a friend and don't be late; we always start with dessert!

When: Wednesday, February 5, at 7:00pm

Where: Woodside Road United Methodist Church, at the corner of Woodside Rod and Alameda de las Pulgas in Redwood City (off 280)
