Fixin’ San Mateo County (FxSMC) is a group of local activists working to enact meaningful reforms to the operation and oversight of the San Mateo County Sheriff’s department. Their goal is: To establish an effective Sheriff Oversight Board and Inspector General in San Mateo County.

 

Our speaker will be familiar to most of us: Nancy Goodban has been a member of SMCDFA for 10+ years, active in many areas. Nancy will explore why we need civilian oversight of the sheriff, what are the problems with our current Sheriff policies, what is Fixin’ SMC and how it will help, and what you can do to help.
