"Why California Can't Buy Its Way Out of the Prison Crisis"

Please join us for a presentation by Emily Harris, Statewide Organizer for Californians United for a Responsible Budget (CURB), an alliance of more than 50 organizations working to curb prison spending by reducing the number of people in prison and the number of prisons in California.

Emily will explain why stopping prison and jail expansion matters to those with or without people locked up and what we can do to reverse a quarter century of "the largest prison building project in the history of the world."  Emily will be joined by James Lee of Occupy Redwood City and Silvia Ramirez from United Parents Committee.

Please bring canned and other non-perishable goods to be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank.

Bring a friend or two, and we'll see you on November 6.  Don't be late -- we always start with dessert!
