Please join San Mateo County Democracy for America as we welcome speakers Igor Tregub and Nataliia Goshylyk at our July 2, 2025 meeting. Igor and Nataliia will discuss the current situation in Ukraine and its implications for the international world order, including conditions on the ground.

They will also share personal experiences, offering insight into the ways they have supported Ukraine during the war. Through these stories, audiences will learn more about concrete forms of assistance and solidarity with Ukrainians in the Bay Area and Ukraine.

Mr. Tregub is currently serving on Berkeley City Council. On the international front, he is organizing to bring distributed solar and storage and energy democracy through the deployment of an Energy Security Marshall Plan to his homeland of Ukraine.

Ms. Goshylyk came to the USA in 2021 as a Fulbright Visiting Professor at the University of California, Berkeley bringing together research on ecological identity on social media. She is the Director of the nonprofit organization “Centre for Communication Research” (Ukraine) and a Co-founder of the US-based nonprofit "Ukraine Matters".
