What the CPUC is doing about SOLAR

San Mateo County Democracy for America is proud to present: Dave Rosenfeld is the Executive Director of the Solar Rights Alliance. Dave has been a community organizer for over twenty years and believes people power is the best way to overcome special interests.

On Thursday, December 15. 2022 the California Public Utilities Commission (PUC) had a public hearing on its latest rules for how residential rooftop solar customers, schools, churches, farms, and businesses will be compensated for the electricity they deliver back to the grid. Did you send a message to Governor Newsom and/or the PUC Board Members? I know many of us did.

Previously, public outcry caused the PUC to rethink the rule changes. Sadly, public outrage did not sway the PUC this time and the PUC voted to approve the changes to the rules.

Join us to hear from Dave Rosenfeld of Solar Rights Alliance to find out what these rule changes will mean to existing solar customers and for those who are planning to install solar panels on their homes. Most importantly, what are the next steps to take to defend our solar rights?
