"Democracy in Peril"

Huge headlines were made last February when our speaker Ann Ravel, resigned as Chair of the Federal Elections Commission (FEC), bluntly citing the commission's partisan gridlock, its lack of progress against dark money in elections and its lack of interest in foreign interference in our election process via the internet. Our speaker is quite serious about the threat posed to our democracy and will explain what must be done to save it --and what we can do to help.

We'll also be discussing SMCDFA's goals for 2018 and beginning the process of setting up our task forces for the coming year.
