April 2018 SMCDFA Monthly Meeting

"A Call to Action: Community Outreach for the June Primary Voting Procedure Changes"

Our speaker this month is Mohsin Mirza, Voting Rights Coordinator for Asian Americans Advancing Justice - Asian Law Caucus, which is one of the community organizations united to help San Mateo County plan and implement the Voters Choice pilot program going into effect for the June 5th primary election in San Mateo County.

Reaching the goal of maximum voter participation in the primary, and in the general election in November, will require a huge outreach and education effort.

The activists of SMCDFA can play an important role in disseminating important information to the public, and at the meeting Mohsin will help us determine where best we can help.

We will also be holding our club officer elections for the coming year.

Bring a friend and don't be late -- remember that we always start with dessert!
