SMCDFA Plan for 2012, continued...

At last month's meeting, we agreed to concentrate SMCDFA club efforts on the election of progressive candidates and initiatives this year. We set up task forces to support this goal, with the understanding that we also will continue to fight for the issues about which we care, as the need and opportunities arise.

At February's meeting, we will continue our election year discussion, and we will devise a timeline for our political activities and programs.

Also, Alanna Pinkerton, a coordinator for the 2012 CA Label DMOs Ballot Initiative Campaign, will make a presentationabout this important issue and the petition-gathering that begins in February to qualify the initiative for the November ballot.
